The role

Our Manager on Duty is a multifaced hands-on role involving many different aspects impacting guests, employees, F&B and P&L. You foster trust and open communication, appreciate and acknowledge your team, involve everyone, and promote sustainability. You’ll raise questions and find creative solutions. This role is your chance to make a meaningful impact every day! Key responsibilities and tasks you will be doing, among other things:

 

  • Leading by example by applying our culture foundation, brand values, of course while bringing your unique personality; 
  • Guiding and coaching team members to develop their skills to help them succeed in their current and future roles; 
  • Assisting with onboarding new employees during their first weeks;
  • Ensuring the safety and security of our employees and guests;
  • Analyzing P&L, and convert learnings into concrete short- and long-term action plans;
  • You are the go-to person within the MOD team on one of the following roles: F&B, P&L, process or employees;
  • And of course, naturally you enjoy being on the floor with our hosts, guests on shifts. 
Your superpowers and requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and emotionally intelligent individual with strong decision-making abilities. In this role, coaching and communication skills go hand in hand. We are looking for someone who is a true host with passion for creating memories for our guests who lead by example. Next to this, the following requirements apply: 

 

  • You are a natural host and breathe hospitality every day, taking it to the next level;
  • You have a passion for F&B and storytelling;
  • Serve our guest a great barista coffee or glass of wine and help fellow hosts around check in and check out;
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role (3 years or more);
  • You are full of ideas and want to drive our local F&B & brand proposition to new heights;
  • Fluency in English is essential, additional languages are a plus;
  • IT skills for relevant property management software systems & POS software;
  • Sustainability and hospitality aren't just passions for you—they're in your DNA;
  • Full-time and flexible, with shifts from 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 including weekends. Occasionally, you work a shift from 16:00 – 00:00;
  • Fluency in English is essential, additional languages are a plus;
  • You are legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
