The role

As the meeting and events coordinator, you're responsible for creating warm and unforgettable experiences for our guests who booked a meeting room and/or wellbeing space. You will be the face of our meeting rooms and well-being space by welcoming them and securing their happiness. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will be engaged in:


  • Storytelling about our brand and concept
  • (Co) creating our meeting rooms and event proposition 
  • (Co) finalizing our strategy and execute our operations plan
  • Cross departmental collaboration between Revenue, Brand Marketing and Operations to drive business and identify the always changing guests needs
  • Explore markets to attract new business
  • Be the go-to person for new business and meeting room guests, to listen and identify to their needs and provide a tailor-made solution without compromising our brand standards 
  • Proposals and contracting, managing bookings, ad-hoc requests
  • Setting up meeting rooms according to The Usual standards, guest specifications, ensuring all necessary equipment and amenities are in place
  • Manage scheduling, ensuring timing transitions between meetings and efficient use of meeting spaces
  • Providing basic technical support for audio-visual equipment while collaborating with technical staff for advanced support when needed
  • Monitoring refreshments during breaks, or before/after meetings (e.g. happy hours/networking) 
  • Ensure meeting rooms are well equipped and well maintained between each session
  • Assisting in administration tasks such as billing, invoicing, and record-keeping related to promoting meeting room services.


We value collaboration and you getting to know (y)our hotel from inside out! Therefore, we can ask you to cover a shift in the check-in and/or U bar area now and then. We will learn you the skills to prepare & serve local beers, wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.

Next to this, the following requirements apply: 


  • Relevant MICE & F&B/banqueting experience
  • Fluency in Dutch & English is essential, additional languages are a plus
  • 4 days per week during working days (Occasionally, work during weekends and evenings)
  • Must have a heart for sustainability
  • You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.
